Tell us about yourself! Where are you from and what do you do?

I just moved to Albany, GA from Atlanta. I am a stay-at-home mom and run an online vintage store called Wicker and Gold Finds.

How did you discover FightCamp?

I found FightCamp while scrolling through Instagram. I had just moved and was looking up boxers to follow so that I could get training examples and videos to use at home since there’s no real boxing or kickboxing training gym in my new city.

What’s your favorite part of the FightCamp workouts?

My favorite part of FightCamp is the accessibility. I love that I am able to get real boxing training from real boxers right in my home. I thought that I would have to start piecing together my own boxing exercises when I moved and that my training would suffer but finding FightCamp took all that away! I love that I didn’t have to give up boxing just because I didn’t have access to boxing trainers.

How would you describe how you feel after a FightCamp workout?

After a FightCamp workout I am tired! Even after the 15 minute workouts, I am dripping in sweat and I know that I got a good burn in! I love that I can get an effective workout in any amount of time with FightCamp.

How/why does FightCamp fit into your schedule?

The accessibility. The fact that I can do FightCamp in my home is great because I am a stay at home mom and don’t have a lot of time to head to a gym. I know that I can get a quick and effective workout in before my daughter wakes up for the day or while she’s napping.

How is FightCamp different than any other workout?

FightCamp makes me feel empowered. It’s not just a workout, it’s training. Unlike other workouts, FightCamp gives me the confidence and knowledge that I could hold my own in a scuffle if I needed to!

If you could describe your FightCamp experience in 3 words, what would they be and why?

Convenient - the fact that it’s an app allows me to do training workouts anywhere and the different class times give me the flexibility to workout anytime!

Challenging - I used to do kickboxing training so the transition into just boxing has been a great challenge on my upper body. The workouts are hard, but doable!

Versatile - I love that there are many different trainers to choose from and that they all have different ways of training and teaching the class! It allows me to easily mix up my workouts without getting bored!

Who is your favorite FightCamp trainer and why?

I love PJ! His catchy phrases and upbeat personality always motivate me to keep on pushing!

Do you mix FightCamp with any other workouts?

I occasionally do some weightlifting, but not much.

How does boxing and punching a bag make you feel?

Boxing makes me feel confident and more self-aware. I feel like I can protect myself and my family if I needed to. Boxing and hitting the bag allows me to take out some daily aggressions and frustrations in a constructive way.

Anything else you would like to share?

I feel like the trackers are what really take these workouts over the top. I’m VERY competitive by nature (even if it’s just competing against myself and what I know I can do) and the trackers keep me pushing harder. Every workout I try to exceed the punch count goal by at least 20. This keeps me accountable and keeps me giving my all every round. The trackers help me to push through “being tired”. I can’t wait until I can compete with other FightCampers' stats!
