Professional Muay Thai fighter, trainer, and entrepreneur Sean Fagan is known as “The Muay Thai Guy” for good reason. He has fought on national Thai TV, competed on Lion Fight, won a title at Madison Square Garden, and won two amateur championships – one of which he fought with a broken arm.
Sean has over 300,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel, with his workouts and tutorials amassing over 31 million views. Now, the Muay Thai Guy is introducing the FightCamp community to the Art of Eight Limbs with his Intro to Muay Thai Path only available on the FightCamp App.
As Sean says: “My mission is not only to provide you with the tools, resources, and inspiration to accomplish your Muay Thai dreams, but I also want to grow this beautiful sport so that it can change the lives of others just like it changed mine.”
The Art of 8 Limbs
“Muay Thai is more than just a sport – it’s a way of life,” says Sean.
Many liken Muay Thai to kickboxing, but movement and striking have very noticeable differences. One of the main differences is also the source of the moniker “Art of Eight Limbs” – which refers to the number of weapons a Muay Thai fighter has at their disposal:
2 Fists
2 Shins
2 Elbows
2 Knees
Kickboxing makes primary use of four striking points, 2 fists and 2 feet. Muay Thai fighters also use different techniques, timing, and rules in combat – some might argue they even have a bit more creative license in the ring.
The rich tradition of Muay Thai as a discipline is steeped in cultural history, tracing its origins as far back as the 16th century. This remarkable sport has since gained increasing popularity worldwide, and Sean Fagan has quickly risen to the ranks as one of its finest trainers.
Meet Your Muay Thai Instructor

Having retired from competition, Sean has focused on teaching both online and in person at his Muay Thai retreats and 2–4-week training sessions in Thailand. Now, he is sharing his expertise with the FightCamp crew, introducing fighters of all levels to the ancient art of Muay Thai.
